NEW MEDIA AND IT'S FEATURES.


  • What is new media refers to ?
It is a digital technology that converts information which are available in sounds, words, data, graphs, images, and graphics converting in to digital format.
  • We can copy them easily at low cost and transmit them in to digital technology of the combination on of binary codes which are 0 and 1.
  • Basically the new media had it's birth with the telephone ,computer and the internet 
  • When we consider about phone in new media, it's  mainly based on voice and signals. But now it has been wired and developed in to digital technology.
  • The Internet is considered as a new medium, Because it can be used as an interactive network.
  • In the 1960's the new media emerged based on the scientific information and the exchange of information on military fields.
  •  Development of the economic, social, political and technological field have influenced the new media.
  • Tim Berners Lee is the person who invented the Internet and he introduced the World Wide Web ( WWW )  . 
  • Here, we can identify the two way communication process.

  Examples : Email, online stores and offers

               4. Hypertextuality.
  • This is the fastest link using electronic activity to access a clip from another of the links. 
  • These links are interconnected.

  • Automation is an automatic process that used for exchanging data making use of the new technology.
  • This process happens without the intervention of the human being .

  • A storage of collection of data is known as " Database ".
  • The data is stored in a computer mechanism to collect the fails easily.
  • The complex nature of this is the Data pools , here we can say about the Big data.

  •  Example : It is possible to to obtain a news items from the data pool in the news group's websites.
